About Windmill Animal Farm Toy Shop

Windmill Animal Farm was first opened to the public in 1992 and offers visitors the chance to experience the every day running of an actual working farm while still having the chance to watch, feed, touch and play with animals.

As well as these beautiful and unusual animals to see, the farm has three marvelous children’s play areas. The indoor play barn, one of the largest in the North West, the new outdoor play area by the main farm complex and the second new outdoor play area by Lake View, which can be reached by our beautiful miniature train that crosses the farm.

Pedal tractors can be ridden around the farm by the children, who are most welcome to step into the ‘Children’s Pet Area’ to feed and play with the animals.

We have five Handwashing Stations at convenient locations around the farm. If you have been feeding, playing with, or just stroking the animals please wash your hands – especially if you are going to have something to eat yourself.
